Community Forestry Member

Join the global fight for a healthy climate by making a difference in local communities. Community Forestry members serve at a nonprofit or public agency with a mission to help communities mitigate and prepare for climate change with a focus on preserving and increasing tree canopy. Service with the Community Forestry Initiative includes many projects that support our communities and environment. From tree planting to outreach and education, Community Forestry members are helping build a healthy, resilient, and environmentally just future for all. We are currently recruiting for the 2022-23 program year with opportunities beginning in August, October and January. Your commitment to Community Forestry Corps will be 40 hours per week. This is an AmeriCorps member position with the Community Forestry Initiative of Climate Impact Corps. You will join an amazing group of members, determined to help our communities.

Member Duties :What to Expect: Work with partners on planting programs and tree inventories. Help design, construct and manage nursery gravel beds. Play an integral role in outreach and education programs by sharing your experience. Develop Emerald Ash Borer management plans. Develop your skills in a variety of fields including construction management, conservation, landscape design and more.
