Overview:

We are seeking a Technical Product Owner.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns their Delivery Teams’ priorities and backlog by collaborating with various executive stakeholders, product managers, project managers, business and systems analysts, delivery scrum masters, both data and software developers and technology engineering staff.
  • Collaborates with delivery team to design, build, and maintain high volume data processing solutions following secure development best practices.
  • Develops technology and product solutions by translating business needs into technical requirements by creating user stories with clear and concise acceptance criteria.
  • Participates in internal backlog refinement sessions to prepare business epics and stories for technical breakdown and planning, ensuring all requirements are well understood by the product delivery team.
  • Contribute, support, and implement best practices around software engineering and technical debt management.
  • Assures consistent quality of production ready deliverables before promoting to business owners or end users by conducting or coordinating Quality Assurance Testing.
  • Coordinates frequently (50% of the time) with multifaceted development team, including virtual work teams with members in different global geographic regions to ensure successful completion of competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Influences and maintains a healthy rapport between Business Sponsors by regularly liaising with executive and key stakeholders within the designated domain.
  • Engages with vendors to bridge potential knowledge gaps and provide ancillary support to the Business Owners and SMEs as needed.
  • Responsible for Release Planning by working with Delivery Team Members to provide and refine estimations for projects.
  • Provides Level 3 production support and resolution, especially when encountering defective software blocking daily operations.
  • Provide ongoing product training for the delivery team and add to the existing knowledge base to avoid single point of failure knowledge gaps.
  • Carries all deliverables to “done” status and meet acceptance criteria by coordinating production deployment, post-implementation analysis/feedback, and ongoing support plan.
  • Ensures adherence to the organization’s deployment, security, and infrastructure best practices by following internal policies and procedures.
  • Works with technology management and business sponsors for considerations involving selecting vendors and provides information on best practices, innovations, and trends for products to ensure that organization’s products meet competitive market demands.
  • Interviewing, facilitation, organizational, and analytical skills are necessary to deliver comprehensive, clear, and actionable technology and product solutions;
  • Strong customer service focus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Business Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Accounting, or related field;
  • Working knowledge of lending products and solutions is desired;
  • Working knowledge of wealth management products and solutions is desired;
  • Working knowledge of core banking products (e.g. loans, deposits, forex, and money market) and solutions is desired;
  • Knowledgeable in finance and accounting within the banking industry is desired;
  • Working knowledge of global and domestic payments products and solutions, including FEDwire and SWIFT, is required;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and relational databases (e.g, SQL Server, Oracle) is required;
  • Demonstrated work experience delivering technology solutions using agile or scrum methodologies.
  • Strong ability to manage roadblocks and conflicts leading to resolution to keep assigned team focused delivery and quality.
  • Proficiency with a variety of project management tools such as MS Project and Jira.
  • Extraordinary written and verbal communication skills, including large group presentations.
  • Familiar with software design patterns, including database modeling and reporting.
